I'm married!

Wedding Ring!

I have about 4 more months to the wedding and I'm happy that things are going ok and I am still a happy bride to be..

I have picked the my wedding ring and the bf is going to pick it up from the shop on this coming friday! The ring was spectacular! After months and months of going around the shop in Kch and KL, I can't believe I found it in singapore! The best thing is the diamond came with a certificate and the cut was perfect! I am not gonna show it until my wedding day. So right now, I need to work my ass of to save money to buy his wedding ring...If you're wondering, why there is 2 boxes instead of one, it's because I couldn't decide which box I want for my wedding day so the shop owner gave me both =)

The most important thing for me is my wedding dress and wedding ring which I have both at the moment and that itself has already made me happy. Now I need to prepare the docs for the wedding day, guest list, and songs for the receptions.

On unrelated notes, I love being in singapore because they have one channel that shows most about wedding and I love it! eg: amazing wedding cake, wedding central, bridezilla n etc...

My wedding dress =))

The white sleeve and my scarf is not the part of the dress btw. I feel like a princess when I wear it. This is not the complete look and I will only show the whole wedding dress after I got married so this is just the preview of what to come..hihi...

Next thing I should look for is the wedding dress for my future husband's side.

wedding progress

Today has been very productive. I started off by going around kuching to find materials for bunga dada. That is actually for all the al-wakil on the reception day and i'm loving the orchid concept. It's nice to have something different.

Next is I've decided on the pelamin for akad nikah and the wedding hall. It's totally two different theme. At home, it's going to be sweet fairytale different colour of pastel colour will be used. As for the wedding hall, it is more dramatic and very elegant.

I can't wait for the bf to come back because we need to discuss on his pelamin, measurement of his body for baju akad nikah and also try to find his suit for the reception.

Visit to Serikin

Serikin is a place situated near...ermm....bah no need to make the introductory since I suck in geography.

Today I went to Serikin with mom and big bro and I bought this gorgous silk telekung. The price was very reasonable and it looks very purrrrtyyy..seriously! I didn't take any photo of it so you can only see it in november aite? hahah

I have decided the costume i'm gonna wear during majlis berlulut. *drum roll*
* indian wedding clothes
* egypt traditional clothes
* minang/jawa (since my great grandpa come from palembang)

On this coming wednesday, I'll be meeting the designer for my pelamin and we'll be discussing on the theme for my pelamin and room. Plus, I'll be doing makeup test before I go back to kl =))

First family meeting

We had our first family meeting to discuss on the responsibilityof every person in this wedding. It seems like all I have to do is be fabulous on that day, seriously. My dad is busy with the caterer and the venue. Mom is busy with everything to do with pengantin. My first brother is basically the wedding planner and my second brother will be busy the IT stuff.

So here is the agenda for tonight

Akad nikah ceremony (25.11.11)

2.45 - rombongan pihak lelaki will arrive at me casa
3.00 - officially sold to sepul by daddy..just kidding
4.30 - bersurai

night - berlulut (playing dress up)


Wedding reception at the future to be husband's place (26.11.11)

7.30am - make up at rumah abg pipi
??? - sepul dtg to chill and have his face done too...HAHA
??? - off to his house

night - raptai at dewan

Wedding reception at my place (27.11.11)
7.30am - make up at rumah abg pipi
10.45am - prince charming arrive and off we go to dewan hikmah
11.00am - the ceremony begins

I am just grateful that my family is helping me on this. Syukur alhamdulillah to be bless by these people or else I wouldn't know where to begin with. I know I wouldn't be saying this if I were in front all of you but since this is my blog and you wouldn't be reading this, I just want to say I LOVE ALL OF YOU AND THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!

White Bedroom =))

This is going to be the bed for my bedroom. I fell in love with this bed about 6 months ago when I came back to kch last year. I love it because of the high headboard. It's double the size of a normal headboard. Gorgous isn't it? But mine is going to be white in colour.

ps: syg please check this bed in kl. I think it's going to be cheaper...if the price is affordable, we'll get this colour k..what do you think?

This is the dressing table and side table for my room. I didn't get the picture of the closet so no picture for that. I like the whole thing except for the bed. It has swarovski which I hate so i'm gonna get everything except for the bed.

I like this chess drawer but i think i might not get it since the whole thing already cost a bomb!! bye2 beautiful not-so-expensive chess drawer...


Now I need to find beautiful ceiling lamp and curtain. Then my room is complete!

Good news
I found my bedroom set that I want. It was the bed that I fell in love to 6 months ago. The price has gone down and I'm gonna buy it next week!


Bad news
I just had my first break down. I feel stupid and being treated like a small kid. Every time I plan to do something, I'll have to answer all the interogation by the higness-es (it's more than one). It's so frustrating you know...

Idea for wedding hijab: part 1

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

Alhamdulillah I have found my perfect baju nikah for my shoe as well as the tudung. I'm glad that i'm not gonna wear the tudung sarung that most ppl wear nowadays cause I hate it very much, no offence ok. I have found something that is similar to that tudung and it's more flexible. It helps the round face like me to make my cheek look slimmer and the best thing is the price is not as expensive as the overated ariani!

First time shopping with family

Today i'll be going to jakel, pkns and SACC in shah alam to look for bj nikah and my family clothes.

just pray that it's not going to be a nightmare since i'm going with mom and big bro. This is going to test my patience and we'll see how far I can go.

Shopping spree part 2

There were a lot of bargain today in sunway but the stuffs were not in the list so i couldn't buy it. The bf bought my perfume set and I am so happy with it. At first I wanted to try other perfumes but in the end I got my signature smell. None of them suits my personality except JLo LA Glow but the set was only consist of a perfume and body lotion so I don't want it.

Anywhoos...I got the fiance a watch since he doesn't want a belt and wallet so I got him a watch instead. Surprisingly the price was wayyyy below than what I expected so it was a really good purchase.

Yesterday I got the fiance a jubah like what he always wanted. The funny thing was the seller thought the fiance wanted to further his studies as tahfiz.

Tomorrow I'll be going to klcc to look for my perfect bag! wish me luck!!

In the making of shopping spree part 2

Mommy called yesterday to remind me go kursus kahwin and do the medical check up that is required for nikah and i was like x__x

Then she start asking me about the stuffs that i bought and i honestly think that she would be please with it..but boy i got it wrong. There's more stuff that she expects from me so i thought of going to shah alam straight away. In the end, I did not go because I was caught up in reading these...

Getting married at 23

why do you want to get married at such an early age? x nyesal ka klak? sygnya mok kawen awal n etc...it gets to the point where it becomes annoying. let me clarrify myself once and for all and if anyone ask me the same question, i'll just ask them to read this post.

ZINA. That is the thing that i want to be far from. If you think zina is about having sex then i think you should go back to school and retake your exam.

l have been trying to keep myself from zina as best as i can but it's hard to be free from it when you have a special someone. It's hard to resist the temptation of going out with him and not holding his hand. It's impossible to say NO for a date. So regardless of the prayers and doa, i admit that i am not free of zina so that is why getting married is the best option.

This decision wasn't made in a day. I have been engaged for three years and in those years, there has been a lot of ups and down. I have learned to be more patient. I know my weakness and we have seen the things that we don't like about each other but i accept his flaws and i hope he accepts mine so i think everyone should respect my decision of getting married.

If you're worried about my career, i reckon you to stop. It's not like you're giving me a job if i don't get married so why gago? I have plans and i'm working on it. InsyaAllah rezeki ada di mana2 as long as you do it with a good heart.

On the part where i don't get to enjoy anymore cause now i'm chained by my husband. Let me tell you one thing about my fiance. Out of all my relationships so far, he is the most understanding bf eva(i sound like a kid here but nvm). I have never been in a relationship for more than 3 months and that is also with him when we were in high school. Average duration of my relationships are between 2 weeks to a month. So you can see how good he has been treating me. Plus i can't wait to travel around the world with him!

Last but not least....MONEY. Many people lovessss to say this. 'if it were me, i would wait so that i'll pay for my own wedding and i wouldn't be using my parents money and burden them'. Unless you're getting married at the majlis islam and sign the paper only, i doubt you're gonna get married even in your 30s and it would be a HUGE LIE if your parents don't contribute at all (i'm act referring to someone here).

As for me, i am blessed to have my parents. Who would be stupid enough to say no when they are offering the ticket to be with someone you love for the rest of your life? I do have my part of contribution but i don't think i need to clarrify myself to that extend.

My point is....instead of giving harsh comments, why not give me a little support? Help me with how I should prepare myself to be a wife and so on.

I hope with this post, everyone can respect my decision on getting married. The only people who can comment on this is my family and close friends. So if you're not in this circle of people then i think you should just keep it to yourself.
